1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Personal information you disclose to us

In Short: We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:

  • Account Information: We collect First Name, Last Name, and email address when you register for an account.
  • Password Security: We do not store your password in readable form. All passwords are securely hashed using industry-standard BCrypt encryption before storage in our database. This means we cannot view, retrieve, or access your actual password - it is cryptographically protected and only verifiable through secure hash comparison during authentication.
  • Payment Information: When you make a purchase, we may collect data necessary to process your payment. All payment data is stored by Stripe and you should review its privacy policies and contact the payment processor directly to respond to your questions.
  • User Content: We collect the information you provide in your public bio. This information is used to make your profile visible to other users and to facilitate transactions. We do not collect any other information about your preferences or the videos you watch.
  • Private Data Protection: Your private information and settings are accessible only through your secure "Office" private dashboard. This private area is protected by authentication and authorization controls, ensuring that only you can access, view, or modify your personal data and account settings. No other users or unauthorized parties can access your private information.

Public and Private Information

Our Services allow you to share information publicly and to keep other information private. For example, any information you add to your public profile (such as your display name, bio, and profile picture) will be visible to anyone. Conversely, information in your private "office" is not shared publicly. You are in control of what information is public and what is private.

Information automatically collected

In Short: Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. We may also process your information for other purposes with your consent.

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:

  • To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts.
  • To process your payments.
  • To send you marketing and promotional communications. You can opt-out of our marketing emails at any time.
  • To protect our Services, including fraud monitoring and prevention.
  • To provide and maintain our service.
  • To communicate with you about your account.

In Short: We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason (i.e., legal basis) to do so under applicable law, like with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services to enter into or fulfill our contractual obligations, to protect your rights, or to fulfill our legitimate business interests.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on in order to process your personal information. As such, we may rely on the following legal bases to process your personal information:

  • Consent. We may process your information if you have given us permission (i.e., consent) to use your personal information for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Performance of a Contract. We may process your personal information when we believe it is necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you, including providing our Services or at your request prior to entering into a contract with you.
  • Legal Obligations. We may process your information where we believe it is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations, such as to cooperate with a law enforcement body or regulatory agency, exercise or defend our legal rights, or disclose your information as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.
  • Legitimate Interests. We may process your information where we believe it is necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests and those interests do not outweigh your interests and fundamental rights and freedoms.

4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

In Short: We do not share your personal information with any third parties except Stripe for payment processing, and only when you choose to engage in transactions.

We may need to share your personal information in the following limited situations:

  • Payment Processing Only. We use Stripe exclusively for payment processing when you choose to purchase or sell services on our platform. Stripe integration is optional and only activated when you decide to engage in financial transactions. We share only the necessary payment information with Stripe to facilitate secure transactions. You have full control over whether to use payment services, and we encourage you to review Stripe's privacy policy to understand how they handle your payment data.
  • User-to-User Interactions. When you choose to interact with other users on our platform (such as when purchasing a service), we may share your username and other relevant profile information with them to facilitate the transaction and communication. This sharing only occurs when you actively choose to engage with other users.
  • No Other Third-Party Sharing. We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal information with any other third-party services, advertisers, or data brokers. Your privacy is protected, and all data sharing is limited to essential platform functionality that you actively choose to use.

5. Our Use of Cookies and Browser Storage

In Short: We use cookies and browser storage only for essential application functionality and to improve your experience. We do not use them for tracking or advertising.

Your privacy is our priority. We want to be crystal clear about how we use cookies and other similar technologies. You have absolute control over your data.

  • Essential Cookies: We use cookies to keep you securely logged in to your account. These are strictly necessary for the application to function and are not used to track you.
  • Browser Storage for Your Convenience: We use your browser’s local and session storage to remember your user interface preferences, such as the state of the sidebar or the active tab in your meetings view. This is done solely to enhance your user experience and this data is not transmitted to our servers.
  • No Tracking or Advertising: We do not use any cookies or other technologies to track your activity across other websites or to show you advertisements.

6. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?

In Short: If you choose to register or log in to our services using a social media account, we may have access to certain information about you.

Our Services may offer you the ability to register and log in using your third-party social media account details (like your Google or Apple logins). Where you choose to do this, we will receive certain profile information about you from your social media provider. The profile Information we receive may vary depending on the social media provider concerned, but will often include your name, email address, and profile picture, as well as other information you choose to make public on such a social media platform.

We will use the information we receive only for the purposes that are described in this privacy notice or that are otherwise made clear to you on the relevant Services. Please note that we do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider. We recommend that you review their privacy notice to understand how they collect, use, and share your personal information, and how you can set your privacy preferences on their sites and apps.

7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.

No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. These measures may include data encryption and industry-standard encryption. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
